Raghav Bahl leads Alibaba Group’s Investments in India. Based in Bangalore, he joined the firm in 2018. Prior to joining Alibaba Group, he was a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners where he focused on investments in technology and consumer businesses. Some of his investments include – BigBasket, Swiggy, Travel Triangle, OlaCabs (acq TaxiForSure)
Raghav holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, with a major in finance. While at ISB, Raghav won the ‘Exchequer 2010’, an annual finance competition organized by IIM Ahmedabad in which 25 of the top Indian business schools participated. He was also a winner of the 2010 Deloitte Consulting Case Challenge. Raghav earned his bachelor’s in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Hello Raghav, I’ve read several pieces of your blog and it seems really intriguing. BTW I am a venture capital based in Indonesia and we operate one of the largest fund in Indonesia called MDI ventures. Just recently we are looking to the Indian market and I wonder if it’s possible to meet you in India. Would love to understand the startup ecosystem in your India.
